Nice staff and clean ...
Nice staff and clean rooms! Breakfast was typical but very good and the bacon was extra crispy. I however have 3 complaints 1. Loud as all get out my room was next to the traffic light and I got to listen to random burn outs, loud cars and blaring music until about 3:00A.M.. 2. The bed should have paid for my dinner because anytime I sat on it a spring did its darnedest to become “intimate” with me, I would recommend not sitting down too hard. And last but not least the pillows…… A hotels goal should be to make your stay as comfortable as staying at home. So would someone please explain to me square pillow that look like throw pillow with a pillow case? Super hard to get comfortable like sleeping on a friend’s couch. Where do you even get little square pillows and pillows cases ? This seems like a Temu deal gone bad. Overall a nice place if you get a back room with a less “rapey” bed.
Good value, especially as upgraded to larger room with living area. Friendly staff and close to restaurants etc. Can be noisy like a lot of low rise hotels - always seem to hear the plumbing and people upstairs.
We really enjoyed our stay at this location. We came from 2.5 hours north to camp at Battle Ground State Park and booked the hotel as a back up because of the heat (and the bugs! LOL!). They had comfortable, clean beds, lots of towels available, deep drawer space and closet, which had extra pillows and blankets, and a well working air-conditioning system and TV. The only minor downside is that the bathroom light was jarring as it was embedded into the mirror, so if you're waking up in the middle of the night and have to find the touch button to turn on the bathroom light, the brightness of the lights in the mirror will definitely jar you at 3:30 in the morning. :D The staff was friendly and helpful. It was nice to have the pool to ourselves, so be sure to sign up to reserve your pool time for the duration of your stay. (We stayed 3 days; 2 nights.) Reserving your pool time was probably a smart thing since social distancing is still encouraged. We were not overly impressed with the bagged "continental breakfast". (Muffin, banana, mandarin orange, yogurt, granola bar, and a bottle of water with a napkin & a spoon for the yogurt. However, it was nutritious and sufficient enough to hold us till we were ready for lunch at the lake. This location also has a Dutch Brothers Coffee Drive Thru and a Pho restaurant that has great food literally right across the street, so there was no shortage of goodies nearby. We will stay here again on our net trip to the State Park or whenever we want to plan our next trip down south.
